Pay is built from what actually happened: shifts worked, classes taught, sessions delivered and any agreed uplifts, rather than from a separate timesheet somebody retypes.

A pay run is checked, authorised and locked. Nothing can be finalised while a dependent line is still unapproved, and once a run is closed the figures behind it stop moving — so the numbers you paid are the numbers you can still see next year.
